No word yet on if they’ll have vegan cheese available, but the vegan patties can be subbed on any of their burgers, and they even have vegan buns to go with em’ too!
We know people are looking for options – in fact, roughly one-third of consumers identify as flexitarians – and we’re thrilled to partner with Beyond Meat to bring more delicious, irresistible flavors to our menu. The new Beyond Famous Star is a true industry game changer, and we’re proud to add it to our roster of innovative offerings and build on the legacy of mouthwatering flavors.”
– Jason Marker, CEO of Carl’s Jr. parent company CKE Restaurants
The new plant-based burger will be called the “Beyond Famous Star Burger” and if you’re skeptical about this almost “too good to be true” news, just hop on over to Carl’s Jr’s website and you’ll see the new vegan burger promoted smack dab on the front page!
It really is no surprise though… EVERYone is going vegan!
It’s sink or swim time for fast-food companies; either meet the ever-growing demand for plant-based foods, or it’s “Ciao, baybee!”
Thankfully, Carl’s Jr. has decided to stay in the game.
Fingers crossed other companies follow fast, as the world ditches animal products, and progresses towards healthier, more compassionate fare.
