Vegan Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Put the cashews, nutritional yeast, and sea salt in the bowl of a food processor and blend until it has the consistency of Parmesan cheese.
The ratio of nuts to nutritional yeast is simply 1:1, so you can make more, or less, super easily!
Check out the nutrition stats on your bag, jar or can of nutritional yeast! Many are fortified with B-12.
I use Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Yeast and 1/4th cup has 290% of the RDV for B12.
A few sprinkles here, a few sprinkles there, and perhaps some delicious B12-fortified cereal, and I have a hunch you’ll get all the B12 you’ll need!
I get enough B12 without any pills or shots. However, I’m not a health professional, so be sure to check in with your doctor to see what works best for you! An array of vegan B12 supplements are available if you need them.
Even if you’re feeling great, a full CBC blood panel is always a good thing to get now and then, just to make sure everything is A-OK!
As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
