Popular Vegan Shoes Recalled, Toxic Substance Found In Tongue

vegan shoe recallIf you wear these popular vegan shoes, stop wearing them immediately!

Dr. Martens has announced a recall due to a substance in the lining of the boot’s tongue which poses a “potential health risk“:

“We have established that a textile used in the lining of the tongue of some batches of the 1460 Vegan boot in Cherry Red made in one factory contains traces of a substance which is above specified limits.”

I don’t own any vegan Dr. Martens, but I often suggest that folks buy them.  They’re super cute, and they’re cruelty-free!

Even my goddaughter owns a pair; she loves them!

I hope they resolve the issue soon, so everyone can get back to wearing them.

In the meantime, check your shoes and contact Dr. Martens if your shoes are part of the recall.

And heads UP:

Target has super cute vegan boots.  I just bought a pair yesterday, and I’m certain their selection will expand as we near the fall season. Payless Shoes has loads of vegan boots, too.

There’s really no shortage of cute and affordable cruelty-free shoes!
