New Vegan Food For Fall at Trader Joe’s!

honeynut-squashI enjoy shopping at Trader Joe’s throughout the year, but watching the annual debut of their vegan holiday fare always adds an extra element of excitement!  This year is no exception.

I haven’t seen any vegan roasts, or fresh organic cranberries just yet (oh, how I love making fresh cranberry sauce!), but here’s a tidbit of what’s new and already on the shelves. It’s lookin’ good, my friends!

I just bought an organic honeynut squash for 99¢ and I’m so excited to try it! Trader Joe’s already has a full range of squash, perfect for roasting and stuffing! I often pop a delicata squash in the toaster oven whole, bake at 375 for 30 minutes, flip, and repeat. Easy and delicious!

You can also stuff baked squash with quinoa or rice with veggies for a festive holiday meal. Here’s what’s in stock:

1. Spaghetti Squash

2. Butternut Squash

3. Acorn Squash

4. Delicata Squash

5. Honeynut Squash

Looking for something a little less healthy in the form of sweet and sticky comfort food?

Trader Joe’s infamous PUMPKIN ROLLS are back in stock! You can find them in a tube ready for baking in the refrigerator section. And there are Vegan Halloween Joe Joe’s too!  (Trying to kick the sugar habit? Head on over to the fresh fruit section for some crispy apples and sweet bananas, or grab a bag of cashews!)

This is less sweet than the other pumpkin beverages and holiday nogs that roll out around this time of year, but I like it!

If there’s a shortage of cartons on the shelf, don’t look at me… heehee.  And for those who are avoiding carrageenan (made from seaweed, but it irritates the stomach of some folks), not to worry; this tasty treat is carrageenan-free!

I don’t drink beer anymore, but I know some folks, like my husband, really look forward to seasonal beers.

No fish bladders here.  Cheers!

(Guinness should be rolling out its vegan beers soon, too! Here’s the scoop!)

This bark (woof woof!) is made with oats, almonds, quinoa, cornflakes, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin purée, Vermont maple syrup, coconut oil, and pumpkin season spices… then topped with dark chocolate, and a layer of maple sea salt seasoned pumpkin seeds.

Wow, I just typed “pumpkin” 5 times right there.  That’s a whole lotta pumpkin!

And last, but not least…  Trader Joe’s now has its own Vegan Mayo! Just in time for holiday dips! What’s nifty about this mayo is that it’s shelf stable without any weird preservatives (common in other room temperature brands).

And what’s not to love about the word VEGAN boldly emblazoned on the front label, eh?  Do you know why that word is there?

Because VEGAN sells.

That’s right. The word “Vegan” sells products these days – food, cosmetics, clothes, you name it.  It’s not a negative; it’s a positive.  Heck, I’ve even seen “Vegan” labeled on pitted dates!

Vegan is here, there and everywhere – and there’s certainly an abundance of all things vegan at Trader Joe’s!

Happy Fall, y’all!
