Move Over Dairy Yogurt! Target Adds Two Brands Of VEGAN Yogurt To Shelves

kite hill vegan yogurtYep, it’s true. Vegan yogurt has gone mainstream, and it tastes darn tootin’ good, too!

Target just added Kite Hill and Silk vegan yogurt to its shelves!

I can’t count how many times I’ve walked past all of those slick packs of Yoplait dairy milk yogurt  just wishing there was a cruelty-free option.

Did you know Yoplait is packed with boiled hooves, bones and tendons (aka: gelatin)?

It’s colored with smushed bugs (aka: carmine), too! BLAH.

Dairy yogurt is also produced at the expense of baby male calves, most of whom are sold off to the veal industry upon birth because they can’t give any milk.  They’re torn from their mothers (who are repeatedly – and forcefully – impregnated) between 24-48 hours after being born.

This is just one of the many horrific downsides to the dairy industry.

But alas, now there are delicious, cruelty-free options that are easy to get to.

While you’re there, check out Target’s nice selection of Hampton Creek salad dressings (all 100% vegan!) and their assortment of vegan Amy’s frozen entrees, too.  Amy’s new Chinese Noodles & Veggies in a Cashew Cream Sauce is particularly delicious!

My local Target also has an assortment of vegan Sweet Earth Natural Foods burritos, too. My favs? The Curry Tiger and Big Sur Breakfast!

Times they are a changin’! YUM!
