Easy Vegan Stuffing for Thanksgiving

If this is your first vegan Thanksgiving, you’re in for a real treat. There’s no shortage of delicious, easy to make, vegan holiday food!

vegan stuffing Today I want to talk about stuffing, after all, for some, it’s the stuffing that makes the meal! You can certainly make your own stuffing from scratch using your own bread and seasonings, but if you want it quick and easy, pre-packaged vegan stuffing exists!

Unlike most store bought stuffings, these don’t contain any chicken stock or other animal by-products. They’re all 100% vegan, and you can easily find, or make your own, veggie stock to prepare them with.

Whole Foods Market 365 Everyday Organic Vegan Stuffing.  

The downside? Sometimes it sells out fast, so if you want this one, I’d recommend buying it in advance.

The upside? It’s organic and there’s no dead bird on the package. Hurray! In 2015 the package was purple; in 2016 & 2017, it was white like the photo on the left. And in 2018 like that, too – and is clearly marked VEGAN.

The downside? Lots of ingredients, including high fructose corn syrup. Phooey!

The upside? It’s really easy to find, and great for those in transition to becoming vegan.

Mrs. Cubbison’s Focaccia Stuffing

The downside? It’s more difficult to find than the others.

The upside? Minimal ingredients, no added sugars, and it’s only $1.99 at The Grocery Outlet. Great deal! Check out their other flavors too, as some are also vegan.

Bottom Line? It’s really easy to be vegan during the holidays. And if you think about it, food is great (YUM!), but it’s not what makes the season truly wonderful. It’s our friends, family and furry kids that fill our hearts with joy.
